Logista Cloud Colocation

Data is a valuable asset and its vulnerability is always a concern.  To strengthen data protection, more and more companies are turning to alternative data-security approaches.  Logista Cloud for colocation is the answer for a secure redundant power and cooling infrastructure as well as access control.  This service allows for critical infrastructure to be hosted inside a state of the art datacenter facility and rack space while allowing those who are credentialed members access to the physical servers.  This service also allows for quick access to many of the various infrastructure and server support options that Logista Cloud has available to augment your existing operations.

What is Logista Cloud Colocation?

Logista Cloud Colocation means Logista Cloud provisions a rack to your exact specifications in our data center to host your exact technology needs from servers, network equipment to non-standard technology. This way you share the cost of power, cooling, communications, and data center floor space with other tenants. While Logista Cloud offers monitoring, network operations, advanced enterprise software and server support as well as any network infrastructure need to basic services, you can purchase, install, and manage your own equipment or choose which advance service best meets your business need from just bare bones rack hosting to full service support and operation.

Why Use Logista Cloud Colocation?

Cost savings and IT staff benefits of Logista Cloud Colocation.  Logista Cloud leases space in our facilities to companies in order to house their hardware infrastructure, and any other technology hosting facility needs.  Using this model, companies maintain their own equipment. For businesses and industries with strict data-protection regulations, this level of control and security is necessary to meet requirements.  The datacenter also offers a cost effective alternative to costly maintenance and upgrades to your existing datacenter.  With Logista Cloud colocation the need for generator and costly battery maintenance and facilities is eliminated.

Businesses seeking a secondary infrastructure for disaster recovery find the Logista Cloud Colocation option to be economical.  Rather than building a new data center, companies and industries can utilize space in the Logista Cloud Colocation facility as a means for maintaining a secondary site for disaster recovery purposes.  The datacenter also provides areas that are specifically designed for easy maintenance and services of critical infrastructure as well as business continuity areas in case of an emergency.

How Can I Be Sure My Data Is Secure with Logista Cloud Colocation?

The Logista Cloud Data Center has been audited and successfully completed certification for the SSAE 16 (SOC 2) TYPE II (formerly SAS70) standard.  SSAE 16 was developed by The American Institute of Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA), these standards are basically an audit of “controls” (or processes) regarding protection of a data center. A Type II audit actually requires that stated control objectives be exercised over some control period, typically 6-12 months. During that period of time the auditing firm will regularly visit and assure that during that period the controls were firmly in place as claimed.

Why is SSAE 16 important? Because the company that owns the data is responsible for its protection, SSAE 16 is used to assess security controls and provide service subscribers with the assurance that their data is protected. When a client moves data and applications into a colo environment, the ability to perform firsthand audits of the security controls is removed. The client must rely on the provider (1) to protect their data and (2) to perform self-assessments to determine if the protection is adequate. This guarantee is provided by SSAE 16, which became the de facto audit standard of service providers.
